Initial practice – calming down the mind, Taming the monkey mind, Avijja is in control of our minds, the 5 precepts, Mindfulness is the basis of practice, object of concentration is a single point, Knowing the object, breath and Buddho meditation, Citta is mind and heart, Citta is the prime mover, Determination to go back to the object, practising all day, Wonder of one-pointedness, Upacara samadhi – thoughts stop, the mind always likes to think/like/dislike/worry, practice compared to learning to walk, coping with dukkha, investigating pain, facing up to death, only avijja is afraid of death, dukkha brings us to practise, wonder of pain disappearing, knowledge isn't wisdom, investigating to make the heart understand, Sila Samadhi & Panna are not optional.
